What is Tumbling?
Tumbling is the practice of manipulating one’s body as to perform such techniques as flipping, rolling, or arm supported re-directional techniques. Tumbling is performed without the use of apparatus and is most often associated with gymnastic floor routines. Tumbling employs a wide range of movements that require discipline, skill, speed, and strength. Most people’s exposure to tumbling consists of what they view during the Olympics, and competitive cheerleading on television.
